An event every week that begins at 10:00 AM on Thursday, repeating until April 12, 2016

Whether you’ve lived your entire life in the Camel City, or you are a recent transplant to our part of the Piedmont, you are sure to enjoy this course created especially for our Lifelong Learners. We have hand-picked a group of local experts and authorities who are passionate about the past, present and future of the community of Winston-Salem. Over our six weeks together, we will highlight different aspects of the rich history and cultural legacy of our city, with an eye toward topics and issues that are important going and growing forward in Winston-Salem.

Here is the schedule:

  • March 10 – The Civil Rights Movement in Winston-Salem
  • March 17 –  Moravian History and Moravian Music
  • March 24 – The Reynolds Family and the New South
  • March 31 – Winston-Salem Architecture
  • April 7 –  The Civil War era in Winston and Salem
  • April 14 –  Winston-Salem: The City of the Arts
