Do you love art and helping people?
Opening Minds Through Arts (OMA) is an intergenerational evidence-based intervention that pairs volunteers with older adults living with dementia. Volunteers work with Senior Services’ participants as partners to create abstract art projects that engage the mind and break through cognitive barriers for a new level of expression. Volunteers participate in one training session and then spend 1 hour per week for 10 weeks working directly with participants to create art.
