Aging Resource Specialist

Position available for an Aging Resource Specialist to provide telephone and face-to-face consultation, information, assistance and referral to seniors and caregivers on resources in the community. Aging Resource Specialists is responsible for counseling people on options for aging resources, services and other public benefits in Forsyth County.  Candidate must possess excellent customer service, organizational, communication, listening and computer skills, and be a team player.  Experience working with aging population is required. Knowledge of community resources, Medicare and Medicaid is also required.  Bachelor’s degree in social work, gerontology or human services required, Master’s level preferred.

Project Coordinator (ADPI Grant)

Position available for an Alzheimer’s Disease Programs Initiatives Project Coordinator. Project Coordinator will lead a team of expert community partners to implement projects designed to expand and improve dementia systems in Forsyth County. Coordinator must be creative, organized and able to work independently. Will implement outreach and dementia education plan, convene monthly partner meetings, and monitor project process and milestones. Master’s degree or comparable experience preferred. Non-profit work a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer proficiency, and effective public speaking skills required.

Assistant Health Care Coordinator
Williams Adult Day Center (231 Melrose Street)
Part-time (20 hours/week)

Assistant Health Care Coordinator position available to assist with all aspects of health care for participants of the Adult Day Center, including development of care plans. Will assist with supervision of staff, students and volunteers.  Must be licensed in NC as an RN or LPN with current CPR and first aid training. Requires knowledge of elder care and related health issues, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Program Specialist
Williams Adult Day Center (231 Melrose Street)
Full and Part-Time

Program Specialist positions available to implement the daily program of activities and to provide support and socialization to participants at the Williams Adult Day Center. This position will participate in serving of meals, personal care of participants as needed, greeting visitors, maintaining materials needed for programs and working with students, interns and volunteers as needed. Requires strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team. High school graduate, some college preferred. Previous experience with geriatrics or working with people with dementia required.

Health Care Associate
Williams Adult Day Center (231 Melrose Street)
PRN or Part-Time

Part time or PRN (as needed) Health Care Associate position available to provide personal care to participants in an adult day care/health setting.  Experience with older adults preferred.  Requires a CNA or PCA certification.
