A Book with Purpose event
In a time when debates over ballot access once again rage, this program will explore the local and statewide story of race, power, and fights for voting rights in historical and contemporary perspective. Join historians Robert Korstad and James Leloudis, authors of the new book Fragile Democracy: The Struggle Over Race and Voting Rights in North Carolina, and local and regional voting rights advocates including Linda Sutton of DemocracyNC and a representative from the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, for an evening of presentations and moderated discussion. Presented in partnership by MUSE Winston-Salem and Action4Equity. This is a free Book with Purpose event: https://www.bookmarksnc.org/BookwithPurpose
