Winston-Salem Mayor’s Council for Persons With Disabilities Awards Banquet

In celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, The Winston-Salem Mayor’s Council for Persons with Disabilities (MCPD) will hold its Annual Awards Luncheon on October 18 to recognize individuals, businesses and organizations for their contributions on behalf of persons with disabilities. This year’s theme, The Right Talent, Right Now celebrates the contributions of workers with disabilities and educates about the value of a workforce inclusive of their skills and talents.

The Winston-Salem Mayor’s Council for Persons with Disabilities is a volunteer organization that advocates for improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities and promotes an environment free of structural and attitudinal barriers.

This year’s Awards Luncheon will be Friday, October 18, 2019 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, at The Novant Health Conference Center, 3333 Silas Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem.

We are extending an invitation to you, your friends, family members, and colleagues to attend. This year’s featured speaker is an innovator, motivator and power player.

VaShaun Jones is the Visionary of Fedora Outlier LLC, a world renowned and respected provider of assistive technology consulting, teaching and support. Fedora Outlier has 7 international offices and is a major resource for English and Spanish assistive technology consulting.

 The cost to attend the luncheon is $15 per person.
