The Gardener is a documentary film which reflects on the meaning of gardening. Influential gardener Frank Cabot recounts his personal quest for perfection at his twenty-acre English style garden in the Charlevoix County in Quebec.

Followed by a q&a with Virginia Weiler & Davyd Hood.

Virginia Weiler lives and photograph in the Southeast of the US. Her work and travels have carried her to Canada, Europe and East Africa. Her published works and exhibits include Horticulture, Better Homes and Gardens SIP, Country Gardens, Country Living Gardener, Garden Design, Organic Gardening, Forbes Life, Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts at Salem College and Academy, SECCA, Moring Art Center, Salemtowne Retirement Community, Grolier Club, New York.

David Foard Hood is an independent scholar and historian. He recently chaired “Restoring Southern Landscapes and Gardens” at Old Salem in September 2017 and is a contributor to Magnolia a Publication of the Southern Garden History Society.
