Author Sally Nuamah will discuss her book, How Girls Achieve, about the necessity of feminist education and fostering achievement-oriented identities for girls. Nuamah is a leading researcher of race, gender, education policy, and political behavior, and the recipient of the Gates Millenium Scholarship, the Black Women Organized for Political Action’s Under 40 Award in Education, and was named a Change-Maker by the White House. Free and open to the public.
