Sharing the Love

Our community comes together to show care for seniors!

Postings |

Valentine’s Day is a day dedicated to celebrating love and connection. Unfortunately, it is often difficult for many older adults, who may feel alone or isolated, to get into the spirit. We’re grateful that there are so many people in our community who took the time to recognize that and decided to spread love and care to Senior Services participants through a simple gesture—a handmade card.

These cards go a long way in brightening a participant’s day, showing them that they matter and that someone is thinking about them. Each card was handcrafted with heartfelt messages and drawings. They remind us that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life.

We thank every individual and group who dedicated their time to make these cards from WBFJ who brought in over 1,000 cards for Meals-on-Wheels participants to Nadia and her friends who showed that volunteers of all ages can come together to make a positive impact in our community. We also want to thank Workplace Architecture + Design who made paper fortune cookie valentines as a token of appreciation for our volunteers!
