7 Who Have Done So Much for So Many

Nearly 300 guests turned out for a luncheon on August 8 to honor this year’s 7 over Seventy award recipients. Wake Forest University’s Bridger Field House was the setting for the third annual presentation of the prestigious awards.

Senior Services, one of the organizing partners for the event, along with the Winston-Salem Journal and SPARK, congratulates the 2018 honorees, Lynn Eisenberg, Bill Hazzard, MildredĀ Roseboro Griffin, Paul Fulton, Jr., Billie Marie Matthews, Donald McMillan and John Woodmansee. These seven community leaders were recognized for their many accomplishments and the tremendous impact each has had on Forsyth County.

In turn, the honorees were called to the podium to receive their awards, each of which was unique, having been handcrafted by Rebeccah Byer, owner of the Olio, a nonprofit glassblowing studio, in Winston-Salem.

Presenting sponsor for the event was the Sticht Center for Healthy Aging and Alzheimer’s Prevention.
