Winston-Salem, NC – Senior Services announces that Heather Renshaw has been named the agency’s new director of development and will work closely with Chief Development Officer, Leigh Anne Groves, to strengthen the organization’s relationships with donors and supporters. Renshaw comes to Senior Services by way of Sandhills Center in Greensboro, NC where she served as their community engagement specialist. She previously served as the development coordinator at Family Service of the Piedmont in Jamestown, NC, from 2015 to 2021. Holding a bachelor’s degree in communications, Renshaw brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the nonprofit sector having worked for human services, health care, and arts organizations.

“Having spent more than 20 years in the field of development, I have seen the power of charitable giving.  How the lives of those served can be transformed by the kind generosity of a community,” said Renshaw. “Partnering with the community to affect this type of transformation has been a fundamental part of my professional career and I’m excited to be starting that next chapter at this wonderful organization.” Senior Services is looking forward to having Heather’s strengths in relationship building, creativity, and leadership continue to spread awareness of their mission to support older adults in the community.
