Peter and the Wolf

A Winston-Salem holiday tradition and a favorite for adults and children of all ages! The music by Sergei Prokofiev is performed by the Music Carolina Wind Quintet, with percussion. Members of the ensemble include: Debra Pivetta, flute; Anna Lampidis, oboe; Ron Rudkin, clarinet; Joe Mount, French horn; Carol Bernstorf, bassoon; and Beverly Naiditch, percussion. This year’s performances will be narrated by singer Jason McKinney, who is well known for his performances with opera companies in North Carolina and worldwide. His recent projects include a portrayal of the life and music of the African American opera singer Paul Robeson.
