Bookmarks is pleased to present Leesa Cross-Smith and Naima Coster in a virtual conversation about their new novels. This Close to Okay by Cross-Smith is an uplifting, powerful story of two strangers brought together by wild chance at the moment they need it most. Coster’s What’s Mine and Yours is a sprawling, moving narrative about the messiness of love and family, mothering, race, and community. Both books are selection picks for Bookmarks’ Signed First Editions Club. For more information about the club, visit https://www.bookmarksnc.org/SFEClub. Signed copies of both books are still available when you join the club. The event will be moderated by Jessica Blackstock, who leads the Winston-Salem chapter of the Well-Read Black Girl Book Club at Bookmarks. This is a pay-what-you-can event; purchase either of these books or make a donation to Bookmarks to register: https://www.bookmarksnc.org/LeesaCrossSmithNaimaCoster.
