Learn How to Prevent Fraud
Scammers steal billions from Americans like you every year. You have worked hard for what you have and the credit you built but do you know how to protect yourself from fraud, scans and other forms of financial exploitation? We invite you to join AARP Triad for an interactive workshop on how to spot and avoid identity theft and fraud. We’re arming you with the tools and resources to fight back with the AARP Fraud Watch Network. Our special guests will be from the Office of the US Attorney General – Middle District as well as Forsyth County law enforcement.
Come learn how to protect yourself and your family. The event is free to the public. Refreshments will be provided. You do not have to be an AARP member to attend so invite a friend or relative.
When: Monday, August 19, 2019. 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Where: The Shepherd’s Center of Greater Winston-Salem, 1700 Ebert Street | Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27103
