THE 20TH ANNUAL EVENING FOR ALZHEIMER’S CARE IS AROUND THE CORNER!
We’re gearing up for our 20th Evening For Alzheimer’s Care, an annual fundraiser supporting the work at our Elizabeth and Tab Williams Adult Day Center. Due to the pandemic, this year’s event – which allows us to care for families navigating an Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other memory loss diagnosis – will be completely virtual, free, and open to the public. Read below for more information about how you can get involved in making a difference for these families!
Proceeds from the Evening for Alzheimer’s Care make it possible for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or some other form of dementia to receive compassionate, nurturing care at the Elizabeth and Tab Williams Adult Day Center
and for their families to receive needed support and respite from their 24/7 caregiving responsibilities.
THREE WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
The Evening for Alzheimer’s 2020 Challenge, benefiting the Williams Adult Day Center will launch on September 21, 2020, World Alzheimer’s Day and will continue through October 23. The Challenge invites you and your friends to participate in online fundraising and gives a special way for you to share why supporting the Williams Center is important to you. Social media is an effective way to fund raise and spread the word about our mission during these uncertain times and we are grateful for your help with getting the word out in the community! Accept the Challenge.
Over the past 19 years, our Evening for Alzheimer’s Care has been a place to find treasures through our silent auction. This year, you can find them virtually! We’re inviting the entire community to participate in our online silent auction where you will find wonderful items, classic art, fun getaway packages, sports memorabilia, and more! Help someone living with memory loss get the help they need while you find the perfect treasure at the same time. The auction portion of the event kicks off on October 18 and runs for one week. Place your bid!
Share in an evening of care, hope, and community, as Senior Services presents our very first online version of our Evening for Alzheimer’s Care gala. Be inspired by stories of people who live with dementia and other forms of memory loss, their families, and care partners, and learn how your support helps. Our special host for the evening will be WXII’s very own Lanie Pope! Register to attend the Gala (it’s free!)
What’s a gala without a meal? Five Loaves Catering will offer a mouth-watering meal for you to enjoy in your home as a part of the event (meals must be picked up at Senior Services the day of the event). Learn more and order your meal here.
Your support and participation will change lives!
We are so very grateful to Marian Douglas, Sue Henderson, and Susan Mann, the evening’s honorary chairs;
Shana and Adam Hurt, event chairs; and all the sponsors, patrons, donors, silent auction item
contributors, guests, and volunteers who are helping make it happen.
