Part-Time AmeriCorps Opportunity

Seeking a part-time AmeriCorps member to work on a groundbreaking research study and be a part of making a difference in the lives of hundreds of families in the Forsyth County (and surrounding) communities.

AmeriCorps at Senior Services

Senior Services is partnering with an AmeriCorps host agency (The Servant Center) to host a part-time AmeriCorps member on site at our agency. We are thrilled to offer this unique opportunity to serve older adults living with dementia and their care partners. The part-time position will work within our Aging Resources team, and specifically as part of the Dementia-Care (D-Care) national research project, to support families navigating a dementia diagnosis.

What is the D-Care Study?

We are partnering with Wake Forest Baptist Health to participate in a national research study  comparing the effectiveness of health systems-based dementia care versus community-based dementia care. Researchers will investigate the effects on behavioral symptoms of people with dementia and their caregivers’ distress levels as they participate in the study. Click here to learn more about D-Care.

If you choose to apply you will do so through the AmeriCorps site (linked above). Please email us at srinaldi@seniorservicesinc.org  to let us know you have applied so we can look for your application.
