As with much of the rest of 2020 so far, this year’s Christmas in July item drive will look different. Unfortunately, the need for assistance among older adults in our programs remains the same and in fact, continues to grow. Thanks to the ongoing support of our partners at Piedmont Federal Savings Bank, we will be there to help meet those needs through our annual item drive.
We’re asking you to show you care by joining us in providing a few of the basic household essentials that will help seniors in Forsyth County navigate the stress and difficulty to remain in their homes through these most uncertain times.
Remembering the many older adults we serve who are struggling daily to make ends meet is a way to live out the spirit of Christmas even in the midst of summer.
Below is this year’s wish list, which you or your faith, civic or business group can print and refer to as you make your regular shopping trips in the coming weeks. Please consider dropping a few of the wish list items into your shopping cart and delivering them to Senior Services, 2895 Shorefair Drive on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm starting June 22.
There will be special drop-off days at these local Piedmont Federal Savings Bank branches:
Saturday, July 18, at their Home Office 201 S. Stratford Road 9:00 am-Noon
Saturday, July 25, Kernersville Branch, 505 Pineview Drive and Clemmons Branch, 3701 Clemmons Road 9:00 am-Noon
