One-Day-Only Art Show & Sale to Provide Food for Seniors

Art Show & Sale Benefiting Meals-on-Wheels

One Day Only! Don’t Miss It!

Mark your calendar and don’t miss the ninth annual Art Show & Sale Benefiting Meals-on-Wheels, once again with Presenting Corporate Sponsor Wells Fargo heading the list of this year’s corporate and community sponsors and patrons. Be sure to join us on Saturday, March 2, from 10 AM–3 PM at Senior Services, 2895 Shorefair Drive. For that one day only, you can purchase the work of more than 55 top-flight Piedmont-area artists and help provide nutritious meals for the community’s homebound older adults at the same time.

Something for Everyone!

The show features a wide variety of original art at affordable prices, offering “instant gratification”: see it, love it, take it home with you! And at the same time you are providing meals for hungry seniors!

Honorary Chairs and Sponsors

Honorary chairs for the event are Mia Celano and Noel “Skip” Dunn, both known for their interest in and support of the arts. Skip is a member of the Senior Services Foundation Board of Directors, and Mia, is in fact, one of this year’s participating artists. In addition to  Wells Fargo, the presenting sponsor, there are a number of other sponsors and patrons whose generous gifts also contribute greatly to the fundraiser’s bottom line, and we are very grateful for their important support.  For 2019 the presenting individual sponsor is Adrienne Livengood, in memory of her mother, Virginia Dean Amos; lead community sponsor is Arbor Acres; lead corporate sponsor is Reynolds American; and lead patrons are Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ogburn, Sr., and Ms. Elizabeth A. Ogburn. Sponsors at the corporate champion level for this year are the Winston-Salem Journal and Publix. Please see below for a complete list of the 2019 Art Show & Sale Benefiting Meals-on-Wheels sponsors.

Participating Artists

Making this event possible are our participating artists, two of whom actually came up with the idea for this fundraiser nine years ago: Dell James and Bonnie Dempster. They and their fellow artists generously donate a handsome portion of the proceeds of their sales to Meals-on-Wheels. Without the work of all  these talented individuals and the time they commit to making the sale and show happen, there would be no event. We are thrilled that this year’s roster of artists is longest in the history of the event, and each artist on it has our deep appreciation. Here are this year’s artists:
