About Elder Care Choices

In today’s complex world, we have many responsibilities in our work and family lives.  At times, it can be difficult to manage it all without feeling stressed or becoming overwhelmed.  Like many working adults today, you may also provide care for an elderly relative or other adult—if not now, then perhaps in the future.

Fortunately, you can get help in learning to manage these countless responsibilities.  As part of your benefits package, your employer provides you and your spouse with a unique service called Elder Care Choices.  This referral and information service is offered at no charge to you to help you find the resources you need to care for an elderly adult.

Here are just a few of the types of assistance that our counselors can provide:

bulletLocate quality nursing facilities
bulletUnderstand Medicare and Medicaid
bulletFind sources of transportation
bulletAssess older adult driving concerns
bulletEvaluate housing options
bulletUnderstand long-term care costs
bulletLocate financial resources
bulletIdentify resources for living at home
bulletOrganize important family papers and documents
bulletEvaluate long-term care insurance
bulletUnderstand living wills and health care powers of attorney
