When the weather begins to heat up and summer is here, Duke Energy and the Northwest Piedmont Council of Governments distribute electric fans through Senior Services to people 60 years of age or older who are residents of Forsyth County and are facing a home situation that is a threat to their health and well-being due to a lack of air conditioning.
