Edible Evenings
Do-It-Yourself Fundraiser to Help Meet a Critical Need

Edible Evenings is a fundraiser that grew out of the need to raise more funds for Meals-on-Wheels. Hundreds of times each weekday, volunteers deliver hot food and warm smiles to homebound elderly people in Forsyth County who cannot prepare their own meals. For many, the visit is their only daily link with the outside world—the connection that enables them to continue to live at home.
What Is an Edible Evenings Fundraiser?

All you have to do to hold an Edible Evenings fundraiser is have a party. Just invite your friends, letting them know that you’re providing the food and fun and that you’d like them to just bring themselves and a donation to Meals-on-Wheels. Anyone or any group can be a host or hostess of an Edible Evenings event. The occasion can be a dinner at your home with friends, a supper at church, a lunch event at the office or a picnic with fellow civic club members. It's up to you.
Sign Up Now to Have an Edible Evenings Event:

If you decide to hold an Edible Evenings event, Senior Services will provide you with a "how to" guide and a host/hostess kit, complete with invitations and envelopes, contributor sign-up sheet for your guests, table tents displaying information about the Meals-on-Wheels programs and return envelope for transmitting donations collected.
